With just one day to go before President Donald Trump meets with China’s Xi Jinping, officials between the two countries are making progress but differences remain, according to a Chinese official quoted by Reuters.
“Consensus is steadily increasing,” said Wang Xiaolong, the director general of the Foreign Ministry’s department of international economic affairs, according to Reuters. “There are also differences.”
President Trump said on Friday that National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow and his staff were leading negotiations in Buenos Aires before the Saturday night dinner.
