Pelosi: Trump, GOP ‘So Afraid’ of ‘Women, People of Color, LGBTQ’ Winning in 2018

During an interview with KQED on Friday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said President Donald Trump and the Republican Party were “so afraid” of a surge of women, LGBTQ people and people of color winning congressional districts in the 2018 midterm elections.

When asked if the 2018 midterm will be another year of the woman, Pelosi said, “Yes, we are going to have so many women, and that is why the Republicans are so afraid, and that’s why President Trump is so afraid. He is afraid of all the women, people of color, LGBTQ numbers that will be added to the ranks in the Democratic party, which is already a majority of women, and people of color and LGBTQ. But it is going to be larger numbers, and it frightens them.”
