Thursday in an interview with Agence France-Presse, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said the chemical attack on civilians in Syria which resulted in U.S. airstrikes was “100 percent” fabricated.
Assad said, “It’s not clear whether it happened or not. How can you verify a video? You have a lot of fake videos now.”
He continued, “We don’t know whether those dead children were killed in Khan Sheikhun. Were they dead at all?”
He added, “Definitely, 100 percent for us, it’s fabrication.”
