Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that she will support a $15 an hour minimum wage during Thursday’s Clinton-Sanders Town Hall on MSNBC.
Hillary was asked, “Will you support a living wage of $15 an hour, which is an issue that is very — that is at the forefront for working families?”
She answered, “Absolutely. I support a federal minimum wage, and I support states going higher than the federal minimum wage. That’s why I support andrew cuomo in New York, who wants to raise it to 15. I supported what they did in LA, and I supported what they did in Seattle. But I’m standing with the majority of the Democrats in the Senate, who have introduced a minimum wage increase to $12.”
Hillary added that she would “use the bully pulpit to convince states that believe they can go further to do just that.”
