Barkley Calls Peter Vecsey, Skip Bayless, and Phil Mushnick Scumbags

In an interview Thursday with Dan Patrick, host of “The Dan Patrick Show,” Charles Barkley was asked about Kevin Durant’s recent issues with the media. Barkley started off by saying most of the media are good people, and then he went on to call NBA columnist and analyst Peter Vecsey, ESPN2’s “First Take” co-host Skip Bayless and “New York Post” sportswriter Phil Mushnick “scumbags.”

“Media, for the most part, they are good people. I mean, I’ve been in it for30 years and, you know, Peter Vecsey’s a scumbag, Skip Bayless is a scumbag, I think, what’s this guy, Phil Mushnick from New York, he’s a scumbag, but most of the media, man, are good people. I love Tony Kornheiser and Mike Wilbon, I think they are fantastic. Frank Isola is terrific. You know, Dan, I think you are great. I mean, you know, Tim Brando. I like Colin.”
