Last week, in all of cable, Fox News not only smashed its direct left-wing competition at CNN and MSNBC, but in total primetime viewers, the newly crowned Most Trusted Name In News beat every other cable network out there, including AMC, ESPN, TBS, and USA — which landed at 2, 3, 4 and 5, respectively.
Fox News pulled 1.86 million primetime viewers compared to MSNBC’s 568,000 and CNN’s 476,000. You read that right: Fox New viewers nearly doubled its combined left-wing competition.
While the 25-54 age demo that advertisers clamor for is what guides everything on television (Fox News usually handily wins this demo against MSNBC and CNN), as far as reach and impact (which is crucially important in culture and politics), Fox News is humiliating its left-wing cable news competition.
Oh, and in all of cable, Bill O’Reilly had 4 of the Top 20 shows.
