We all remember the media endlessly hectoring George W. Bush about his golfing, fundraising, and vacations at his ranch in Texas. We also remember this very same objective, unbiased, not-at-all-liberal media excusing and even defending (with false reporting) President Obama’s seemingly serial vacations, golf outings, and fundraisers (even the day after an American ambassador was brutally murdered in Libya.)
Yesterday, though, was a bit much, even for Obama’s media Palace Guards. A day after the beheading of an American journalist at the hands of ISIS, the President interrupted his latest vacation for a few minutes Wednesday to make a statement. Moments later he was right back on the golf course.
This tweet from Politico’s leftwing media writer is just one example. That might seem like tepid criticism, but coming from a fierce Obama defender like Byers, it’s notable:

The Hill published this immediately after the White House pool report was released yesterday.
Left-wing columnist Dana Milbank was fed up with Obama’s golfing last week.
The president will always have his shills like Joe Scarborough, but the most notable change here is the dog that isn’t barking. When New Media holds Obama to the same standard the objective, unbiased, not-at-all liberal media did Bush — but refuses to with Obama — the objective, unbiased, not-at-all liberal media usually mocks us as a way to defend Obama.
We aren’t hearing much of that today.
