Nearly 60,000 illegal immigrant children have been apprehended since October of last year. As Texas state Senator Dan Patrick told Laura Ingraham on Monday, law enforcement officials estimate that somewhere between one in five and one in ten illegal immigrants are actually apprehended.
“You do the math,” he said, noting that more illegal immigrants enter Texas each week than there are native-born Texans during the same period. Patrick also stated that there are at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members in the state.
