Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) appeared on the inaugural edition of Breitbart News Saturday and said that Breitbart.com was the first site he checked in the morning and the last one he checked at night.
He said outlets like Breitbart News were necessary because the mainstream press have “sold their souls” and are “not about the truth anymore” as they try to protect President Barack Obama.
Gohmert and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon–who, along with a rotation of Breitbart News editors and contributors, will host the weekly show from 10 AM EST to 1 PM EST–discussed how Gohmert was one of the few politicians the late Andrew Breitbart liked.
Gohmert said that he shared a “deep love and affection for this country with Andrew Breitbart,” and that is why they bonded. He praised Breitbart as someone who hated lies and loved truth.
The debut of Breitbart News Saturday aired on the two-year anniversary of the tragic death of Andrew Breitbart.
