Over at Fox News, on Tuesday night at 9 p.m., Megyn Kelly won 2.068 million viewers and 354,000 in the 25-43 age demo. At MSNBC, Rachel Maddow came in second with 906,000 viewers and 227,000 in the demo. Piers Morgan nosedived with only 207,000 total viewers and 50,000 in the demo. Deadline reports that this is Morgan’s “second worst result ever in the all important adults 25-43 news demographic.”
CNN as a whole didn’t fare much better:
CNN matched its sixth worst primetime result among the 25-54s on February 18. Between 8PM and 11PM, the cable news network had 64,000 watching in the demo. That’s a tie with December 28, 2010 and October 22, 1997′s demo results.
CNN is dying. And the decisions CNN chief Jeff Zucker is making to dumb down the network with local crime stories, weather, whales, and cruise ships increase the “attitude” and become even more partisan. This is obviously not helping.
