Rush Limbaugh said a Government Accountability Institute report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since Obamacare passed shows Obama’s lack of compassion toward those hurt by the healthcare law.
“I think the fact that he didn’t meet with her is the only evidence anybody needs that he really doesn’t care in a compassionate sense about people,” Limbaugh said on his radio show on Thursday.
The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report discovered that since Obamacare was signed on March 23, 2010, Obama met with “various Cabinet secretaries a total of 277 times.”
The White House schedule, though, did not “document a single one-on-one meeting” with Sebelius, though there was “one instance of Secretary Sebelius meeting jointly with the President and Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner.”
Limbaugh said the report “isn’t shocking at all,” because Obama “doesn’t care about the details” of Obamacare and “doesn’t care that he lied.”
“He doesn’t want to be bothered by the details of any of it. That’s not what this is. All that matters to him is, it’s the law now,” Limbaugh said. “The hell with what happens between now and when they get to total government control, total socialized medicine.”
Limbaugh said the Obama administration’s objective has been a single-payer government-run system, and that is why he does not care “about the minutia, the detail.”
“It’s not because he’s above it or it’s beneath him. It’s just there are things he’d rather do,” Limbaugh said. “He’s not worried it’s gonna be repealed, and if every does really get worried it’s gonna be repealed he’ll do something to try to stop there.”
Limbaugh emphasized that if someone really cares about something, “you don’t farm it out, particularly in the early days.”
“You shepherd it. Your passion is what drives it. You are aware of every potential flaw and every real flaw, so you can you fix it, because you’ve put your life into it. That’s not him,” Limbaugh said of Obama and his signature piece of legislation. “This is a theoretical dream. This is a socialist, Marxist dream. It is what it is. How you get there and all that? That’s for other minions to worry about. Why don’t meet with Sebelius? He doesn’t care.”
