Residents, tourists and politicians in the District of Columbia will soon see NSA surveillance whistle-blower Edward Snowden’s face plastered across Metro Busses with the provocative message: “Thank You, Edward Snowden.”

The campaign is funded by The Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, an advocacy group that has done work on behalf of the Occupy movement. “The elites in D.C. may not ride the bus, but they can’t avoid reading the bus!” the group wrote on its donation site.

The group is raising money online for the campaign that is expected to begin next week. Politico reports that CBS Outdoor, which handles advertising for Metro, charges $5,000 to wrap a bus for a four week campaign.
