The Republican Party has a new heart, says Matt Drudge–or perhaps at least two.
As Texas Senator Ted Cruz was into his filibuster-like maneuver to bring attention to defunding Obamacare, Drudge took to Twitter to proclaim that the “heart” of the party has shifted.
As Cruz took center stage on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Drudge Tweeted that “Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have taken over the heart of the party.” Many would add Utah’s Senator Mike Lee to that list. But there was more. Drudge had a warning for New Jersey’s top man: “Christie going to have uphill battle against emotion,” Drudge said.
Drudge has identified where the momentum is in the GOP as of now. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and others like Mike Lee now have the lead in the Republican Party.
