While the left-wing BuzzFeed made the bizarre decision to try to make the NRA’s respectful silence part of the story surrounding Monday’s Navy Yard shooting massacre, the outlet now probably wishes they had taken the NRA’s lead.
Instead, BuzzFeed followed the lead of CNN and the New York Daily News by bungling the facts with the false claim that an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle was used in the shooting.
It was not.
Like the Daily News and CNN, and under the guise of an objective news outlet, BuzzFeed used the post to tell one side of the story about the AR-15. BuzzFeed’s readers are told only that the AR-15 is used to kill, not for self defense or sport shooting.
BuzzFeed has corrected the piece.
