On Tuesday, Matt Drudge, long known for his libertarian leanings, asked on Twitter, “Why would anyone vote Republican? Please give reason.”
Sounding like Tea Partiers who revolted against George W. Bush big-government domestic programs–like No Child Left Behind, the Medicare prescription drugs benefit, and government bailouts of Wall Street during the financial crisis– Drudge noted Republicans “raised taxes,” are “marching us off to war,” and “approved more NSA snooping. WHO ARE THEY?!”
Why would anyone vote Republican? Please give reason. Raised taxes; marching us off to war again; approved more NSA snooping. WHO ARE THEY?!

In a previous tweet, Drudge noted that the new battle is between “Authoritarian” and “Libertarian” because there is “no real difference between parties.”
It’s now Authoritarian vs. Libertarian. Since Democrats vs. Republicans has been obliterated, no real difference between parties…

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren asked in response to Drudge’s tweets, “Is Matt Drudge Joining the Tea Party?”
