Ben Shapiro, Breitbart News editor-at-large and editor-in-chief of the upcoming TruthRevolt.org, a project of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, will be joining In Depth on CSPAN-2 BOOKTV on Sunday, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET to discuss his authorial career. Shapiro, 29, is the author of five books, including the recent New York Times bestseller Bullies: How The Left’s Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences America (Threshold Editions, 2013). His other four books are Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America’s Youth (Thomas Nelson, 2004); Porn Generation: How Social Liberalism Is Corrupting Our Future (Regnery Publishing, 2005); Project President: Bad Hair and Botox on the Road to the White House (Thomas Nelson, 2008); and Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How The Left Took Over Your TV (Harper Collins, 2011).
Shapiro entered the University of California at Los Angeles at the age of 16, where he began writing for the UCLA Daily Bruin. Shortly thereafter, he met Andrew Breitbart, who quickly became one of his mentors. At age 17, Shapiro became the youngest nationally syndicated columnist in America with Creators Syndicate. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from UCLA with a BA in political science, and entered Harvard Law School at age 20, graduating cum laude. Shapiro co-hosts “The Morning Answer” on KRLA 870 in Los Angeles and KTIE 590 in Orange County.
