On Friday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blasted the mainstream media for helping the Obama administration distract Americans and orchestrate chaos in order to “run out the clock” on its various scandals, which are not limited to Benghazi, the IRS’s targeting of conservatives, and the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs.
Palin, on Fox News’ On The Record, said Obama is attempting the “stall play in basketball” by “trying to run out the clock” by “orchestrating chaos” with “coordinated” “distractions and diversions” that are “being shoved down our throats.”
She said Obama is “hogging the ball” and was “cowardly” and unproductive” for trying to cover up the administration’s various scandals or deflect attention from them.
Palin said even the crowd will leave when a team is trying to run out the clock, but noted “the only fans that aren’t going to bail is still the media.”
“They are going to stick with it because they are part of the problem,” she said of the media’s enabling the Obama administration before, during, and after the scandals. Palin said the mainstream media’s actions will be to the detriment of “professional journalism and the free America as we know it.” Palin emphasized that many of these scandals have occurred because the media enabled Obama by becoming his lapdogs.
