NBC's Chuck Todd Leads Cowardly Discussion on Race

As the rest of the media seem desperate to turn the page on all things related to George Zimmerman (and for good reason), an apparent dead-ender is NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd. In a very bizarre opening segment that lasted the full first half-hour of Todd’s MSNBC show, “The Daily Rundown,” Todd opened by announcing that he was going to have a discussion on race. He then brought four guests on who all shared the same left-wing opinions and agreed on everything.

Five people and no dissenting opinion. That is not a discussion, it’s masturbation.

Panelists included the host, the left-wing Chuck Todd (who challenged nothing said by anyone); Kweisi Mfume, former head of the NAACP and a five-term Democrat congressman; Clarence Page, left-wing Chicago Tribune columnist; Jamal Simmons, a Democrat advisor; and Michelle Bernerd, a conservative, but one who sounded every bit as liberal on “Stand Your Ground” laws and what she described as “intentional voter suppression” as the rest.

Bernerd even railed against the Zimmerman jury as not understanding what it likes to be “othered.”

At no time did anyone, including Todd, speak the truth about the Zimmerman case, which is that all the evidence proves (including an in-depth FBI investigation) race had nothing to do with the tragic shooting of Trayvon Martin.

The term “speaking truth to power” came up during the 30 minute exercise in left-wing echo chambering, but one wonders what “power” they were droning about. The media, federal government, and entertainment industry (the three most powerful forces in America) are just like Chuck Todd’s race-discussion panel: Engaging in a full anti-science propaganda push to pretend that an event that had nothing to with race… did.

Poll after poll after poll proves that Todd and the media are on the wrong side of this issue. Later in his show, Todd would cite polls to pressure House Republicans into passing immigration reform.

Todd did not, though, cite a single poll showing that less than 40% of Americans would have found Zimmerman guilty or that only 24% believe race was a factor in the fatal shooting.
