The Free Beacon catches this jaw-dropper from CNN’s Candy Crowley on her Sunday show, “State of the Union”:
CANDY CROWLEY: Here’s what I’m gathering from the show today talking to folks in office and out of office observing from an expert point of view, it doesn’t look as though there were really dots that were not connected. It looks as though it worked even though it ended up horribly. Give me all your alls’ takes, start over here, on whether — are you troubled by anything? Or do you think there was basically there was not much more that could have been done?
Watch the video here.
With whom could Crowley have possibly spoken to float such a ridiculous conclusion? As the Free Beacon points out, “Both Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, were present on the TIDE (Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment) list.”
Crowley obviously didn’t bother to commit any of the journalism the Business Insider did Monday morning that might have resulted in her creating this chart that breaks down who knew what about the suspected bombers, their family, and contacts.
Too much of the media seems entirely too desperate to wrap up the Boston Marathon bombings in a nice, neat little package marked “lone wolf.”
Meanwhile, the Russians have raided the compound of a Russian Islamist whose videos found their way onto Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s YouTube page:
The timing certainly looks … intriguing. On Sunday morning, Russian forces raided the compound of an Islamist network once run by Abu Dujan in the Caucasus — a leader whose videos were in Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s YouTube page. The raid killed the brother of the current leader.
What we are seeing from the media’s Candy Crowleys is a less-hysterical but still familiar push to nothing-to-see here a terror attack. In the wake of the successful September terror attack on our consulate in Libya, the media openly (and effectively) circled the wagons to protect Obama from any fallout — even after it was revealed his administration had spent two weeks lying about the murder of four Americans being the result of a protest gone wild.
Now we have another successful terror attack against Americans on Obama’s watch and a CNN anchor laughably floating the idea that there were no dots to connect — that everything the system is supposed to do, it did.
This would be laughable on its face if it wasn’t so dangerous.
As we saw from almost all of the media with Libya and are seeing now from a small but still noticeable part of the media with Boston, the media know that if it is ever revealed that a failure committed by the Obama Administration might have resulted in the death of American citizens, his presidency (and therefore his left-wing agenda) is effectively over.
Moreover, Obama told America that he had “decimated” al-Qaeda — which explains the eagerness to scream “lone wolf.”
