Fox News' Scott Brown: 'I'm Mad,' 'We Need To Fight Back'

Former US Senator and now Fox News analyst Scott Brown (R-MA) joined Bret Baier on Special Report after the deadly bombings in Boston. Being from the Boston area, Brown was able to lend a unique perspective to the proceedings and expressed a fiery, passionate response:  “I’m mad.  It’s cowardly for the perpetrator or perpetrators to have facilitated this type of terrorism… It’s a new world and this was cowardly and we need to fight back and stand strong as Americans first.”

Fox News often gets criticism for signing former political figures as analysts, but this moment showed the strategy to be quite effective. While other networks were relying on journalists and news anchors to speculate fill time with irresponsible speculation, Fox News was able to turn to a person of authority, gravitas, and importance to reflect in a personal way on the event and how it impacted the people of Boston.

It was also great television.
