Sunday Shows Go Full Out on Immigration

It looks like the Sunday morning political shows got the same memo that immigration is the topic of the day for April 7.

The big three networks and CNN are all hosting guests who either lean toward amnesty for illegals or are in outright of support of it.

CBS’ Face the Nation

  • Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
  • Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
  • Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State

NBC’s Meet the Press

  • Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
  • Bill Richardson, former U.N. Ambassador and New Mexico governor (D)
  • Michele Flournoy, former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy

CNN’s State of the Union

  • Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL)
  • Jon Huntsman, former U.S. Ambassador to China and Utah governor (R)
  • Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL)
  • Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-CT)

ABC’s This Week

  • Dan Pfeiffer, adviser to President Obama

Not much ideological diversity there. Even the Republican guest, Diaz-Balart, is a supporter of some sort of defacto amnesty or “path to citizenship” for illegals, which will allow them to shoot ahead of the naturalization line filled by those who came here legally.

Unsurprisingly, Telemundo’s Enfoque is even more blatantly one-sided. Appearing will be Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) as well as Gustavo Torres of Casa de Maryland, and farm workers and union advocate Ericka Lomeli.

Fox’s Fox News Sunday is going in a little different direction by hosting the NRA’s newest spokesman, former Rep. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR), to talk about the gun advocate group’s new school security idea. But Fox will also have Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer, who will likely talk about Obama’s immigration ideas.
