Will Hasselbeck Get New View At CNN?

Even though Barbara Walters swears she’s not going anywhere, the rumors that Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s days on ABC’s The View are numbered continue to persist.  The latest twist in the saga comes from the New York Post with a report that CNN’s new chief Jeff Zucker would love to have the right-of-center host as part of his new line-up.

A source told us, “They’re definitely interested.” Although “The View” creator Barbara Walters denied on-air that Hasselback was on her way out, after news reports were leaked saying she’s being axed, Page Six revealed she’s being pushed out of the ABC daytime talk show as ratings sag and research shows her conservative views don’t sit well with some regular viewers.

If Hasselbeck does end up jumping and taking her “extreme conservative views” to CNN, she better watch her back.  Walters has been pretty rough with former hosts who leave the show.  Let’s not forget how ugly things got with Rosie O’Donnell:
