University of Texas at Austin journalism professor Robert Jensen says that Thanksgiving is a “white-supremacist holiday” that celebrates the “genocide” committed by America’s forefathers who “had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis.”
In a holiday article for the Soros-backed website AlterNet, Mr. Jensen shamed Americans for celebrating Thanksgiving:
In the United States, this reluctance to acknowledge our original sin– the genocide of indigenous people — is of special importance today….Simply put: Thanksgiving is the day when the dominant white culture(and, sadly, most of the rest of the non-white but non-indigenouspopulation) celebrates the beginning of a genocide that was, in fact, blessed by the men we hold up as our heroic founding fathers….How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most reveredhistorical figures had certain moral values and political viewsvirtually identical to Nazis?
In addition to training the next generation of journalists, Mr. Jensen writes books and and delivers speeches. According to his website, next year Mr. Jensen will deliver keynote speeches with titles like “The Craziest Person in the Room: How Can a Mediocre White Guy Be Useful?” and “Pornography: When Pleasure becomes a Problem.”
