Detached 'Journalist' Admits He's Part of Obama Chorus

Most “journalists” like to pretend they are separate from mere politics, but apparently MSNBC’s Touré doesn’t. He isn’t merely observing and reporting on President Obama, but is part of Obama’s team. This is clear by his on-air Freudian slip delivered to us on Wednesday, August 22.

On MSNBC’s The Cycle, Touré made a telling mistake while disgorging his usual Obama talking points. During the discussion, Touré said that “we” had “succeeded in defining Romney early.”

“We,” Touré? Who’s we?

The discussion had turned to the political ads for this campaign cycle when Touré spoke up saying (my bold):

I mean, there’s only 24 hours in a day, Krystal, so even if you unleashed a billion dollars of ads in October, you can’t run 25 hours. But I mean we have – or the Obama campaign has – succeeded in, or attempted to succeed in, defining Romney early when Romney was undefined for many voters. So, I mean, that perhaps would be a value of June, July advertising, right?

Apparently Touré imagines himself to be part of the Obama flack machine whose job is to destroy Mitt Romney and now his veep pick, Paul Ryan. So much for being a detached journalist merely reporting on the news, Touré apparently is a partisan member of team Obama as opposed to any sort of journalist.

But, if this partisanship wasn’t obvious with his telling verbal slip up on Wednesday, it was pretty obvious last week when he threw out the ultimate race card word making the outrageous claim that Mitt Romney was engaging in the “niggerization” of Barack Obama when nothing could be farther from the truth.

Touré has finally come clean. He’s not a “journalist.” He’s an active participant in Obama’s political campaign.
