C.L. Bryant put Roland Martin in his place on Erin Burnett’s “Out Front” tonight. Bryant and Martin were debating Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson’s Florida demagoguing and whether it was helpful or hurtful to the sentiments erupting in the Trayvon Martin story. Roland Martin accused Bryant of apathy and questioned his dues — which he later denied. Watch below:
Martin basically condemns Bryant for not fighting the same battles as he fights. Where was Martin during the fights Bryant mentioned, the ones against skinheads in Shreveport? According to Martin’s logic, he doesn’t care about those battles.
Bryant challenges Martin on ideas. I hope Martin accepts. Game on.
