Never one to allow a dead horse to go unbeaten, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd pulls out her riding crop in her latest piece. Of course, I am referring to the unending stream of pusillanimous propaganda about Republicans hating sex and women that is spewing forth from the DNC and their mainstream media wing. Not a day goes by where the DCCC fails to send out their latest hysterical hit piece by the Democratic leadership or their accomplices in the media.

Dowd’s column is a rehash of the same “Republican War on Women” narrative the Left has been pushing ever since President Obama unleashed his opening salvo on religious freedom. She starts out:
IT’S finally sinking in.
Republicans are getting queasy at the gruesome sight of their party eating itself alive, savaging the brand in ways that will long resonate
Who is better qualified to discuss the Republican brand than Maureen Dowd? That is like Coca Cola asking Pepsi how to save their brand.
Unfortunately, some on our side have been doing their part to help the Left drive this ridiculous “GOP hates sex, women, and contraception” narrative.
“Republicans being against sex is not good,” the G.O.P. strategist Alex Castellanos told me mournfully. “Sex is popular.”
Maybe those on the right should focus their energies into creating a coherent message to combat this insanity, as opposed to adopting Castellanos’s methodology which simply feeds the beast. There are no less than four quotes from prominent Republicans in Dowd’s column feeding into this narrative. When Maureen Dowd is using your quotes to drive her anti-GOP message, there should be some introspection about your choice of words.
Dowd fills nearly every graph in the rest of her column with lies that would make Jay Carney blush:
President Obama has deranged conservatives just as W. deranged liberals. The right’s image of Obama, though, is more a figment of its imagination than the left’s image of W. was.
According to Dowd, President Obama causes derangement of conservatives, but we are only imagining Obama’s perceived evils, whereas everything the Left believed about Bush was unerringly true. A statement with this industrial-grade lunacy should disqualify anyone but a few academic elitist liberals from taking you seriously. Perhaps, given the financial trouble at the paper of record, that is actually what is happening.
Newt Gingrich, a war wimp in Vietnam who supported W.’s trumped-up invasion of Iraq, had the gall to tell a crowd at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., that defeating Obama — “the most dangerous president in modern American history” — was “a duty of national security” because “he is incapable of defending the United States” and because he “wants to unilaterally weaken the United States.” Who killed Osama again? [Bold my emphasis]
There is no question that President Obama is working to unilaterally weaken the United States. Having had the opportunity to listen to Liz Cheney discuss this reality at a meeting in Wyoming over the weekend, it is clearly not a fringe belief. Obama presents a clear and present danger to our national security across a broad front, from alienating our allies to coddling our enemies. Dowd, like all military hating liberals, credits Obama for killing Osama bin Laden when SEAL Team 6 did the job and President Bush’s enhance interrogation tactics provided the intel.
None of the GOP candidates escaped Dowd’s babbling verbal diarrhea:
Santorum, whose name aptly comes from the same Latin root as sanctimonious, went on Glenn Beck’s Web-based show with his family and offered this lunacy: “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college,” because colleges are “indoctrination mills” that “harm” the country. He evidently wants home university schooling, which will cut down on keggers.
His wife, Karen, suggested that her husband’s success is “God’s will” and that he wants “to make the culture a better culture, more pleasing to God.”
If anything scares Leftists more than the thought of Americans pursuing careers outside the vaunted halls of academia, it is God. Mentioning God or His place in our culture and history is like kryptonite to the Left. It turns them into slobbering masses of indignity almost as rapidly as the thought of denying teenagers access to abortion or free condoms.
Mercifully, she finally concludes:
The Republicans, with their crazed Reagan fixation, are a last-gasp party, living posthumously, fighting battles on sex, race, immigration and public education long ago won by the other side.
They’re trying to roll back the clock, but time is passing them by.
Dowd, living in the cesspool of Leftist “journalism” and “thought” that is the New York Times, has allowed the auspices of reality to escape her. What she is doing is projecting upon conservatives the very reality that is today’s Democrat Party on nearly every issue of significance. She ignores the shellacking delivered to Democrats in 2010, while perpetuating the ridiculous red-herring narrative that Republicans hate sex and women.
The harsh reality is, this narrative is a gasping attempt by the Left and their media cohort to take the focus off their messiah and his abysmal record of failure. In addition, the Democrats and the media have been using it as a convenient and shameless fundraising issue. It’s unfortunate that the Left is not familiar with the concept of telling the truth or the shame of incessant lying. If they were, they would admit that the real war on women is happening in the Middle East and the fake war on women is actually a war on religious freedom and its constitutional protection; that war is being waged by Obama and the Democrats with help from the MSM.
