Earlier we told you how the AP buried the lede when a man toting a gun showed up at an Occupy Atlanta protest. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s full statement here.

The Associated Press published a report this morning about the Occupy Oakland protests. Way, way down at the bottom of article was this explosive detail about Occupy Atlanta:

Mayor Kasim Reed had been supportive of the protests, twice issuing an executive order allowing them to remain. Reed said on Wednesday that he had no choice to arrest them because he believed things were headed in a direction that was no longer peaceful. He cited a man seen walking the park with an AK-47 assault rifle.

Not only that, allegedly there are now armed neo-Nazis showing up at Occupy rallies in Arizona.

Turns out, theres a bunch of guys at Occupy Phoenix wearing camo, tactical gear and carrying around AR-15s and I haven’t heard a peep about it in the press.

For additional information on the individual said to be featured in the video, see here via Bob Owens.

J. T. (Jason Todd) Ready, a former member of the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement, specializes in bashing immigrants. After being court-martialed twice, Ready was discharged from the Marines for bad conduct in 1996. Ready, who has run for various Arizona offices usually without success, advocates for the placement of landmines on the border and rails against Jews and nonwhites. In June 2010, Ready led a group of armed extremists into the Arizona desert to apprehend immigrants and drug smugglers.

However, there was no media cover-up involved where tea party-aligned protests were concerned. Not only could the media not wait to blast it out in headlines, MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer played it up prominently, while also concealing the man’s skin color from viewers:

. . . there are questions about whether this has a racial overtones [sic] I mean here you have a man of color in the presidency and white people showing up with guns strapped to their waists, or to their legs.

Watch her report below. Forget about Concealed Carry laws for a moment, we may need a law requiring the media to stop concealing negative stories where the OWS movement is concerned.
