The American tradition allows for all voices and viewpoints to be heard in our nation’s political discourse. Yet, when, in that spirit, ABC extended an invitation to Andrew Breitbart and Dana Loesch to participate in their election night coverage, ABC was promptly attacked by the usual suspects on the Left.

After receiving unwarranted and misdirected attacks, ABC News’ Senior White House Correspondent, Jake Tapper, had to defend himself, even from NYU journalism instructor, Jay Rosen.

@jayrosen_nyu not at all what I said. I gave them abc news twitter handle and contact info. I said don’t get mad at me about decision.

Tapper referred to the large number of complaints he received in this Tweet.

What if half the people blaming me for an abc news management decision were out rallying voters to the polls? Just a thought.

Meanwhile, the Leftist blogs were apoplectic at the news. To read them, one would think the nation’s entire political process was threatened, if not doomed, simply due to ABC demonstrating it’s appreciation for the American tradition of freedom of speech, as embodied in our Constitution.

Soros-funded Media Matters claimed to have confirmed the very thing ABC now seems to be denying.

Media Matters has confirmed that noted propagandist Andrew Breitbart will provide analysis for ABC News during their election night coverage.

This statement from Andrew Morse, Executive Producer, ABC News Digital, appears to have been issued in quick response.

He has not been asked to analyze the results of the election for ABC News.

It should concern and disappoint all well meaning Americans engaged in political discourse that Eric Boehlert and his ilk at Media Matters seem so content to cause controversy where none should exist, push inaccuracy, and attempt to stifle fee speech, while lining their pockets with foreign billionaire George Soros’s money.

There is little if anything genuinely American in that. But that is today’s Left. It is who they are. It is what they do. And they do it all too consistently for it to be mistaken for anything other than what it actually is, disgraceful and un-American.
