MSNBC host Ed Schultz speaking at “Net Roots Nation” on Thursday made this statement:
I busted my ass for Obama. I mean, I took my radio show on the road. I did town halls…I went after it. And President Obama, he don’t come to Ed, he comes to Bret Beir at Fox News in my time slot. Now, my show’s gonna be OK. But if you were in my position would you say, ‘What’s that all about?’
[pause]
Loyalty.
The media is getting fed up with the Obama administration. After working tirelessly to get him elected, collaborating on how to take down his opponents, working with the White House on talking points for their round table panels, the Administration hasn’t done anything to give them the credit they deserve. Instead, they reacted rapidly to a story in the center-right media and the MSM is pissed. How insulting it must be when the puppet you put in place ignores your calls for policy changes and instead reacts to your opponents.
We’ve already seen instances where those who were once claiming disturbing limb-tingling sensations as a result of Obama’s speeches turn to say “I don’t sense executive leadership” after another speech. But this is only the beginning.
We can expect more rants from MSNBC and CNN hosts that echo this one. The MSM put all their “hope” in Obama. Along with the irresponsible cabal of leftist “journalists” whose biases have been so embarrassingly exposed with the contents of the juvenile JournoList, they placed their professional careers on the line to get him elected and he has yet to give them the thanks that they deserve.
But he can’t. Not this year. This year his campaign is desperately trying to convince the American people that it was they, and not the in-the-tank media, that elected him and his ideals. The longer the Obama Administration ignores the media complex that put him in place the more critical they will become, and we all know how Obama handles media criticism.
Ed Schultz’s rant serves as a “teachable moment” for us: the MSM demands one thing from Obama, loyalty. The Obama Administration knows they are not indebted to the American people who voted for him but the media-complex that put him into place. His loyalties should belong to them and that’s the way they want it. It is important for Americans to remember that the media has no interest in seeing people elected who are interested in preserving America and feel that their loyalties lie only to her people.
They want puppets.
