JournoList: How do you explain why members of the media, led by an employee of the Washington Post named Ezra Klein, put their political beliefs above their jobs, their careers and even their country? They are liberals first.
The group now exposed is part of the JournoList, Obama’s little secret warriors during the last campaign, made it very clear, they are liberals first.
Why did Chris Hayes of The Nation urge his colleagues to ignore Reverend Wright’s tirades against America? Real reporters love this provocative, juicy stuff. Ask Mel Gibson. Instead, Hayes wrote this, ripping the Bush administration so that it would somehow make Obama/Wright look better:
Our country disappears people. It tortures people. It has the blood of as many as one million Iraqi civilians — men, women, children, the infirmed — on its hands. You’ll forgive me if I just can’t quite dredge up the requisite amount of outrage over Barack Obama’s pastor.
I think the “disappears” people is a reference to rendition. The act of capturing a prisoner, putting him on a plane, taking him to a foreign country where he would presumably be subject to torture during interrogation. If memory serves, President Bill Clinton was the one who started that plan and Obama continues it to this day. Chris—how do you feel about that issue with Obama being the perp? You okay with that? Liberals first.
I watched media coverage religiously during the 2008 campaign. As annoying as it was, I watched it. I never recall NBC ever airing the words of Reverend Wright. They may have, briefly, but I never saw it if they did. Oh—a few times (very few) they talked about the issue and showed the video of Wright and talked about Obama’s “controversial pastor,” but I cannot find an example of where they actually let their viewers hear what he had to say.
Please, somebody correct me if I’m wrong here, but I never heard NBC use the audio. That doesn’t happen in a newsroom by accident that had to be a policy from on top. Liberals first.
I anchored a TV newscast at the time the Wright video was released and I dared ask the question of why we weren’t airing more of this video of Reverend Wright. We ran short clips of it, but never more than five seconds and the story was always placed in a position where it would do the least damage (yes, you editorialize by where you place a story—a lead story lets viewers know this is a big deal). We touched on the Wright story almost as a novelty item, like a water-skiing squirrel. “Oh that silly little preacher, it’s a good thing Obama’s not like that,” was the tone of the story when reported by many local stations.
I was also told that the Wright video was just too damning for the audience to listen to. Too provocative. Hey, listen it was hard for me to hear somebody say the things he said about America—I get that. But clearly, that was not the reason many local stations pulled back from airing this video. The real reason: liberals first.
The only defense the LAMBS in the activist old media can have now is that people should just “get over it, Obama is the president, deal with it.” Yes, Obama is the president. Heaven knows we are dealing with it. Dealing with nearly ten percent unemployment. Get over it. 14.5 percent here in Las Vegas. Obama just stopped by my city and told us how great things are and how Harry Reid is saving jobs. 14.5 percent in what was just recently one of America’s great boom towns. We are Detroit with fancy lights and neon signs. Get over it.
The Daily Caller articles expose these supposed journalists as repeaters, not reporters. In virtually any other business, that would be a deal breaker. You’d be finished, done, over, career gone, fired. But, remember, management at these places agrees with these “repeaters” of the Obama company line. They are protected. Their jobs, their country, their religion, their integrity, their friends—-all take a back seat to this.
After all, they are liberals first.
