The Obama wave becoming a riptide.

Having spent much of my youth surfing the waters of Huntington and Newport Beaches, I worked hard to spot them where I could and I hoped beyond hope that I would find the right one with the perfect curl. It required a keen eye and deft instincts.

There is a wave is growing on the horizon against Barack Obama and I can see the swell starting to build.

Certainly the Tea Party movement has been an indicator of the water rising against this administration, but that has been clear and plain for all to see—who want to see. The American left and their compliant media will never see that 10-footer because they don’t want to see it. They don’t believe it, they discount it, and they try to destroy it. They missed that wave that the local surfers, who know the water well, were able to spot easily and ride to the shore.

There is a new wave out there right now, breaking in a different direction. This one is coming from the left.

Mort Zuckerman, Jeffery Immelt, Barbara Streisand, and other major Obama supporters have switched and gone “goofy footed” all of a sudden.

We’re talking major Obama supporters here. Voted for him, donated to him, Zuckerman even said he helped him write a speech for him. In the ocean, these would be Obama’s “locals” who all knew each other, they surfed the same beaches, and they hung out together and when the waves were hot they could read each others’ body language and know when to hit and when to lay back. You could see them out there on the lineup waiting to hit their sets. Perfect alignment, perfect order.

Not anymore.

Zuckerman has done a 180. A tough trick indeed, but there’s no indication he’ll do the full 360. Witness this line from US News and World Report, Zuckerman’s version of his own Surfer Magazine, where for years he had told us where he thought the best waves were:

A year and a half ago Obama was walking on water. Today he is barely treading water.

Hey dude, thanks for the aquatic reference there.

A warning to my new buddy, “Zuck,” The Red Flag is out and it is not safe. I got caught in a riptide once at Newport. I was body surfing at the time so I didn’t have my board and the lifeguard had to come save me from floating out to sea. When a wave starts going a different direction it can get deadly out there. Be very careful in these waters, you will be attacked by a left wing riptide that will try to take you out to sea.

How large is this new wave that’s coming from the left? It’s hard to gauge. You never really know until it hits. It’s certainly a swell right now that is building and it may get crowed as others try to ride it. I’m seeing the normal 2 or 3-footers we found on good days in southern California, but, who knows–it may be one of those 20-footers from the North Shore of Oahu. Hawaiian natives like Obama shouldn’t be surprised when they come crashing down on him. My guess… he won’t see the blind wave comin’.
