Last night was the annual “Hollywood for Ugly People” bash in Washington, better known as the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. It’s a grand occasion, a veritable Beggar’s Opera, calling forth an unrivaled collection of coastal celebrities, media mavens, wonderboys, flop-sweating comedians, hacks, gangsters, transient flavors of the month, trulls, trollops, and drabs of both sexes, the occasional man or woman of genuine accomplishment and, of course, the president of the United States, who obviously has nothing more important or better to do than eat rubber chicken and crack wise in front of an adoring — excuse me, I mean “fiercely independent” — audience.

If you had been there, and could speak with anyone present, whom would it have been and what would you have said? Bonus question: how do you spell “Katrina?”
Keep it clean and have fun. It’s Sunday.
