To my media friends,
Grow some and stand up to this guy.
Obama is going into a back room and laughing at you. He uses you, he controls you. He has you right where he wants you, in his left coat pocket, next to the Marlboros.
Occasionally a media person actually stands up and asks tough questions, but they are usually from Fox News and they get ignored by the rest of the LAMBS (Leftist Activist Media Boobs) who still spend much of their time worshiping at the feat of their Dear Leader. Plus, they never get second interviews. Done, buddy, go back to the edit bay and watch the union guy put together your story on the big Concrete Convention coming to town.
Two cases in point. Obama ditching the media last Saturday for his daughter’s soccer game. You might think that, since he’s the president, he can do whatever he wants to do, but for decades presidential protocol has been to have the media travel with the president wherever he goes. (It’s called “covering the body.”) The inquiring minds in the media suddenly don’t care much that the president “dissed” them, but Dear Leaders don’t have to report to anybody, certainly not to this media. For a day or two the media might whine a bit about Barack, but they’ll soon forget as their love and devotion takes over.
Second case in point. Obama turning the nuclear summit into an Iron Curtain display of media relations. The Washington Post was not too happy about it, but give them a few days, and they’ll be right back on board.
Nothing sticks to Obama because the media does not want it to stick. Former Virginia Senator George Allen (Republican) had nine months of “maccaca” thrown at him by the media, and eventually they got their way and he was voted out of office over it and Democrats won the Senate. Victory for the powerful media!
In case you forgot, here’s Allen’s vicious, nasty, hateful, hurtful racism in action:

George Bush put up with four years of Valerie Plame and the supposed leaking by the White House of her name. MSNBC talked about little else during that time. The major networks all did as many exposes as they could on the issue. When a Bush hater, Richard Armitage, from the Pentagon finally admitted he leaked the name, it got a little attention—then the media focused on Dick Cheney and Scooter Libby, until they finally got a process crime that they could crow about.
President Obama rarely does news conferences and when he does he takes fluff questions from the Yakima Valley, left-handed, LGBT, bi-monthly soccer revue and when they ask him whether he likes Pop-Tarts or Eggos in the morning, and he filibusters for 15 minutes. There’s your first amendment in action right there, folks.
Bottom line, the media cannot get off its template very easily, if at all. They put this guy in office, and they know it, and they know we all know it. Obama knows it too. He knows it as he sneaks off to somewhere to smoke another Marlboro. He knows this media does not have the guts to ask why a president who smokes maybe a couple of packs a day becomes known as the “healthcare president.” Were he a Republican he’d be called a hypocrite and the issue would be over.
Now, there are many more important issues than the president and his smoking habit, but I bring that up only to mention how pathetic the media has become. The same folks who brought us Woodward and Bernstein don’t have the guts to ask this president the most simple of questions. He can ditch them, send them packing after 30 seconds, refuse to answer questions and give press conferences that are as rare and meaningless as a reporter’s manual typewriter, or a photographers old three-quarter- inch videotape machine. Not to worry, he’s the president and the media belong to him.
Grow some. He’s laughing at you.
