Left-wing Silicon Valley activists have launched a campaign calling for workers at major tech firms to step forward and blow the whistle on what they consider unethical business practices, which may include projects for the U.S. government.

The Guardian reports that left-wing Silicon Valley activist group Fight for the Future has launched a new initiative this week that aims to encourage tech workers at major firms to blow the whistle on possibly harmful business practices and products being produced by the company’s they work for.

A new website launched by the group called SpeakOut.tech encourages tech workers to safely leak information on the company’s they work for, instructing them on how to do so anonymously. The website includes a video ad the is ironically also being promoted through Facebook and Google’s advertising platform.

Jelani Drew, a campaigner for Fight for the Future, commented on the group’s initiative stating: “It’s really awesome that tech workers are pushing back against their employers. People are really fired up.” Fight for the Future has previously targeted companies such as Salesforce which the non-profit group criticized for taking a contract with the US Customs and Border Protection. Salesforce’s cloud-computing technology was used to “manage border activity” and “modernize” its recruiting process, something which Fight for the Future appeared to find objectionable.

“We want to get it in front of as many tech workers and as many people in Silicon Valley as possible,” said Drew. She added that Fight for the Future wanted to convey to tech workers that: “There are people who are 100% behind you … We can’t organize if we don’t know what’s happening.”

Fight for the Future is also crowdfunding to support their advertising budget for their video as they attempt to reach more Silicon Valley employees. Breitbart News has reported extensively on some of the tech worlds most recent scandals including Facebook’s year of user privacy scandals and Google’s damaging internal leaks. It appears that many tech workers are in fact willing to speak about the internal operations of the Masters of the Universe, but may do so from a very different perspective.
