The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, is offering an “ecofeminism” course this spring that will teach students about the “oppression of nature.”
A course called “Ecofeminism: Philosophy & Practice” will be offered this spring at UMass-Dartmouth. The course, like other similar “social justice” focused courses, will teach students about a variety of bizarre topics such as “vegetarian ecofeminism.”
The course description on the university’s website provides a short summary of the topics that enrolled students will learn about.
Study of ecofeminism as systems of oppressions based on race, class, gender, sexuality, and ethnicity that stem from a cultural ideology that enables the oppression of nature. The course explores ecofeminist theories, literature, and practice, including ecofeminist ethics, and the applications of ecofeminism to the lives of individual men and women, as well as cultural institutions and organizations.
A report from Campus Reform notes that the course costs $1,218 for students. However, it unclear that this price is any different than any other three-credit course at the university. For example, the Introduction to Astronomy course, which is also three-credits, costs $1,332. A 500 level three-credit course on public policy costs $1,881.
In August 2018, Breitbart News reported on an academic research paper that suggested that more “ecosexual” professors are having sex with trees.
“In the spirit of carnival, ecosexuality embraces degradation and decomposition. Sprinkle describes her first encounter with redwood trees at Yosemite National Park: ‘I loved the scent of the trunk, like vanilla mixed with soil. I have a strong memory of coming across a redwood that had fallen over from a storm. I walked around off the trail and peeked at its freshly exposed roots. So soft, so sensuous, so sexy! I had to touch them,’” the bizarre paper read.
