Apple CEO Criticizes ‘Appalling Silence’ of People Who Don’t Protest Trump Administration

Apple CEO Tim Cook criticized the “appalling silence” of people who don’t speak out against the policies of the Trump administration.

According to the New York Post, Cook spoke out against U.S. immigration policies so he wouldn’t fall into “the appalling silence of the good people category and this is something that I never want to be a part of.”

Cook had previously described U.S. immigration policies as “inhumane” and “heartbreaking.”

“It’s heartbreaking to see the images and hear the sounds of the kids. Kids are the most vulnerable people in any society. I think that what’s happening is inhumane, it needs to stop,” declared Cook. “I’m personally a big believer in the way to be a good citizen is to participate, is to try to advocate your point of view, not to just sit on the sideline and yell or complain… That will be the approach we will take here. This one in particular is just heartbreaking and tragic.”

In 2016, Cook hosted a $50,000 per ticket fundraiser for failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, while in 2017, the Apple CEO praised China’s censored Internet.

In the same year, Cook claimed, “We’ve got to filter out” fake news, and donated $1 million to the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), who were recently made to pay out over $3 million to an anti-extremist activist for including him on a list of “anti-Muslim extremists.”
