Verified left-wing Twitter users praised MSNBC’s Joy Reid after she apologized for posting homophobic remarks between 2007 and 2009.
In one post, Joan Walsh, an MSNBC political analyst and author of What’s the Matter With White People? called those who criticized Reid’s homophobia “trolls,” while “TV Personality” Scott Nevins claimed Reid’s homophobic insults towards Charlie Crist are justified “until he finally comes out.”
“Time to move on, people,” declared Nayyera Haq, a former “senior member of the administration of President Barack Obama,” who added she was “impressed” with Reid following the incident.
In a series of posts, Huffington Post contributor Marcus H. Johnson even claimed it was racist to criticize Reid’s homophobia.
”She is one of the best there is on the left,” he also expressed.
