UW-Green Bay Offers Professors $2,000 to Promote “Diversity and Inclusion”

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay is offering a $2,000 stipend to professors who will commit to increasing the use “diversity and inclusion” themes in the classroom.

The Inclusivity Fellows Program “will provide financial support ($2,000 stipend) for up to 10 faculty and instructors to infuse inclusive materials into one of their classes, use diverse teaching methods, create an inclusive classroom environment and learn more about implicit biases and stereotyping.”

The administration describes the program as “an opportunity for faculty and instructors to become more culturally competent teachers by providing them time and resources from the one-time funds to diversify their courses.”

Applicants are asked to write a 400-word essay explaining which course they would like to revise and how they would incorporate the themes of diversity and inclusion.
