Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey returned to the company as interim CEO following the departure of Dick Costollo on July 1, 2015 before being named permanent CEO on October 5, 2015. The move was supposed to turn around the micro-blogging social media platform’s prospects, but instead the company has tumbled under Dorsey’s leadership to previously unimaginable lows.
