Just Cause 3 released on Tuesday, returning protagonist Rico Rodriguez to the place of his birth in order to blow a bunch of things up for freedom. Unfortunately, many players are experiencing virtual sabotage in their efforts that has nothing to do with the evil Medici dictator’s regime.
The PC version of Avalanche Studios’s new open world action romp is suffering from the sorts of issues becoming all too common in recent releases. While not remotely as bad as the Arkham Knight debacle, there are still plenty of reasons for frustration.
Avalanche posted an announcement on Steam in response, stating that they are “looking into them all and [are] fully committed to providing you the best possible experience.” But don’t expect a concrete date for the patch just yet. Avalanche needs “a little bit of time to recreate some of these issues and build fixes.”
The post advises PC players experiencing issues to report them to Customer Support and to check the Steam forums “as there are a number of tips there can could improve or fix some of the issues that have been reported.”
I’m currently neck-deep in the popular rebellion simulator and will be providing my thoughts on the overall experience soon. Though I am playing the game on PC, I’ve yet to encounter any of the reported bugs. I haven’t always been so lucky.
