Francesca Collins, social media officer of Bristol University’s Feminist Society, was caught on tape bombing spectacularly out of an interview with a student journalist when asked why she was supporting a campus ban on Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

Arguing that flamboyantly gay Yiannopoulos, who has been outspoken on gay rights, campus rape culture and treatment pathways for transgender patients, would violate the university’s “democratically-elected safe space” policy were he to deliver a talk on campus, Collins then struggled to differentiate between “banning” and “no-platforming.”

Summarising her college’s “safe space” policy, she uttered the words: “Blah, blah, blah.” Collins then appeared lost during her own objection to the phrase “transgenderism,” seemingly unable to come to an agreement with herself about what constituted offensive terminology for sufferers of gender dysphoria.

She misquoted a column by Yiannopoulos, using her incorrect quote to claim that Yiannopoulos was making a “direct threat” to trans sufferers’ “identity and existence.”

Finally, she appeared to hang up on the journalist when he challenged her assertion that Yiannopoulos represented a risk to student “safety” and “security.” The rest, as they say, is internet history…

As we went to press, the video was going viral, with over 31,000 views on YouTube.
