‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Gets Cute with Trailer for ‘FNAF World’

Indie horror phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy’s is spinning off into RPGs with Five Nights at Freddy’s World. The animatronic nightmare fuel that made its mark on YouTube Let’s Play videos is back, and this time it’s kind of adorable… at first.

The debut trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s World starts as you’d expect, panning into the sightless hollows of the series’ premier antagonists. Moments later, however, it has transitioned into a madcap series of fast cuts between scenes that look like they were taken from a meth-addled version of Final Fantasy.

Freddy and his cohorts unleash attacks like Jumpscare, Toxic Bite, and Unscrew, and take on a sinister aspect in what seems to be some sort of “rage mode.” Outside of that, details are scarce. The featured roster at the end of the trailer is pretty deep, something that will surely please long-time fans.
