After saying that Washington’s wish for our first veterans should be our wish for every veteran that has followed, Palin asked whether America has lived up to Washington’s wish for America’s veterans. Palin said she was asking not as a politician but as a mother of a combat veteran.

Jurors Hear Video Confession from Chris Kyle’s Accused Killer

As the trial of Eddie Ray Routh, the accused killer of “American Sniper” hero Chris Kyle and Kyle’s friend Chad Littlefield, entered its second week, jurors were shown a video of Routh confessing to the fatal shootings. Kyle and Littlefield were killed on February 2, 2013. Routh, who was 25 at the time of the shootings, has confessed to the killings but has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

It’s Official: Abbott Signs ‘Chris Kyle Day’ Proclamation

Texas Governor Greg Abbott gathered a group of elected officials and members of the military together on Monday to sign a proclamation recognizing February 2nd as Chris Kyle Day, in honor of the native Texan and Navy SEAL who was the most lethal sniper in American military history.
