The migration of Central American youths and ‘family units” into the United States has reached record levels, as President Barack Obama directs border officers to help the migrants apply for asylum, jobs and Green Cards.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission put the Obama Administration on notice with regard to requirements that must be met before Syrian refugees are resettled in the Lone Star State. This includes the prerequisite that the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement certify that “each refugee does not pose a security threat” to people of Texas.
By the end of June, Barack Obama had cleared the path for 214,982 “unaccompanied” youths plus 181,456 women and children to come in to the country since October 2012. That adds up to 396,428 migrants — with three months to go before the end of the 2016 fiscal year in October.

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that his office will provide two grants to meet needs incurred as a result of the federal government’s placing hundreds of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) into temporary shelters in two Texas counties.
Approximately 800 or more unaccompanied children (UAC’s) from Central America will be transferred to North Texas in Ellis and Rockwall counties. The transfer is necessary because of the wave of children who are being housed on the border.

Democrat Texas State Representative Ana Hernandez (D-Houston), has filed a bill that would require a Texas Supreme Court committee to develop an educational guide that would assist judges in determining which children are eligible for “special immigrant juvenile status” (“SIJS”). Federal law gives special protections to eligible unaccompanied immigrant children (“UACs”) who have entered the country illegally.
