Texas AG Fires Off Letter to Fort Worth ISD Over Transgender Bathroom Policy

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has fired off a letter to the president of Fort Worth Independent School District (ISD) saying he has a “strong concern” that the school district’s “Transgender Student Guidelines” violates parents rights to information. He also said the policies are motivated by a misguided view of federal law.

Stanford Band, Banned: No Road Trips Next Season

On Friday, Stanford University banned the Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band (LSJUMB) from performing at any athletic events held away from the university for one year because of the band’s recent history of the use of alcohol and controlled substances as well as hazing.

Harvard Law School Slapped by Feds over Sexual Assault Policy

The federal government has found Harvard Law School to be in violation of Title IX over its policy on sexual assault, and the school has agreed to revise its policies. In a statement Tuesday, Harvard University and Harvard Law School said that they have been “pro-active” in revising their sexual assault policies ahead of the resolution of the controversy, which was reached last week in a formal agreement with the U.S. Department of Education.
