Anthony Mackie, the star of Disney’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” says taking on the role of Captain America was humbling but difficult because America prevents black men from succeeding.
This month, Disney launched its much anticipated follow up-spinoff to the “Avengers” movie franchise with the debut of “The Falcon and Winter Soldier.” But along with the big budget action scenes, viewers were also assailed with one woke moment after another.
An early scene shows the Falcon, aka Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie) visiting a bank, and a banker asks about his income with suspicion and ultimately turns him down for a loan.
