HOUSTON, Texas — Flood warnings are up in Texas on Wednesday after days of historic flooding in neighboring Louisiana. Flash flood warnings have been issued for most of northeast and east Texas along with parts of central Texas.
Five soldiers from Fort Hood are dead and four others are missing after flood waters swept a tactical vehicle into a flood-swollen stream on the Army post. Three other soldiers were rescued shortly after the incident and are listed in stable condition.

A train derailment near the North Texas town of Corsicana is being blamed on flooding related to former Hurricane Patricia. The freight train derailed after flood waters washed away a section of the train tracks.
