Trump and Senate Break Judicial Record, Press Forward Ahead of Midterms

President Donald Trump broke the all-time two-year record last week for appointing judges to the federal appeals court, and immediately nominated over a dozen more, while the Senate Judiciary Committee continued this Wednesday to advance still more nominations ahead of the midterm elections, and will hold another hearing next week.

Joe Manchin Under Fire: Pressure Mounts in WV on Kavanaugh Vote

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) was told by passers by at Sunday’s West Virginia Pumpkin Festival in Milton, WV, to vote in favor of confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. He sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee and has abstained from committing to vote one way or another, claiming to want more time to consider Kavanaugh’s nomination.
