Republican candidates battling it out in the race to become California’s next governor may have provided insight at their spring convention into the enthusiasm among California Republicans for opposing “sanctuary” laws.
Huntington Beach’s City Council voted on Monday evening to sue California over its SB 54 “sanctuary state” law, becoming the latest Orange County city to join the anti-sanctuary revolt.
San Diego County and the city of Escondido in the coming weeks will also reportedly consider defying California’s “sanctuary state” laws, following Los Alamitos and Orange County.
