Biden Admin-Released Migrant Crime Wave Sweeping Sanctuary Cities

Sancutary cities and their suburbs are experiencing a crime wave from migrants who are released by the Biden administration after illegally crossing the border between ports of entry. Police, particularly in the Chicago area and New York City, reported significant increases in crime related to migrants relocated to their cities.

Released Migrants Overwhelm Texas Border Town on New Year’s Day

With non-government migrant shelters at capacity and closed for the New Year’s Day holiday, the Border Patrol was forced to release migrants directly onto the streets of Eagle Pass. Most of the migrants huddled outside a local transportation company, hoping to make a quick exit from the small border city. The transportation hub is only a block from an official port of entry that has been closed for weeks due to the latest border surge hitting the small community of 30,000 residents.

5-Year-Old Migrant Dies in Chicago Shelter, Others Hospitalized

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson offered condolences to the family of a five-year-old migrant child who died of an unknown illness over the weekend at a city-operated migrant shelter. The child, Jean Carlos Martinez-Rivero, was a new arrival at a converted warehouse known as the Pilsen Shelter, which was used to house migrants.

EXCLUSIVE: Sanctuary City Asks Texas Border Towns to Divert Migrants Away from Denver

Officials in the city and county of Denver, Colorado, asked Texas border towns to distribute flyers aimed at discouraging migrants from traveling to the Mile High Sanctuary City after crossing the border from Mexico. Denver officials asked the border communities to distribute flyers saying the city is out of resources to take care of migrants and that low-cost housing is unavailable.

In less than 24 hours, the CDC’s Title 42 COVID-19 expulsion authority will expire. The end of the expulsion authority will mark the final departure from any enforcement policies enacted under the Trump administration that saw migrant crossing numbers quickly drop in late 2019 and 2020. Despite the latest media blitz by the Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas assuring Americans that the Biden administration has things under control, we should all be skeptical.
